JSF Hits 2 Million Prestige
January 31, 2006; Dark Insanity

|
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
For our total Prestige earned, since the JSF started, we have earned over 2,000,000 of it! That's a lot of play time, people! Also, the lowest of the top 100 SGs on the Justice server has 2.6 million, which means we're only about 500k from being in the top 100 supergroups! Nice going, everybody!
Now remember, this is not the Prestige we actually have in the bank right now, this is the total, how much we would have if we hadn't spent any Prestige since the SG was created. We do, however, have 500k of Prestige currently. We are well on our way to our next sized base! Just keep earning as much as we have been recently, and we'll get there in no time!
Now get back out there an earn some more Prestige!

Siren's Call Patrol

Well then, the Siren's Call PvP event turned out much better then I expected!
I think we had a total of 11 people show up, though not all were on at the same time. We also got the Score slider from less then half way to more then 3/4 of it controlled by heroes. I signed off at 10:00 est, and there were still four other JSF members on, so I'm not sure exactly how long it lasted, but we were in there killing big mobs of villains toward the end.
There being nine members of Justice Strike Force running around at once, we were actually noticed and referenced to a couple times over broadcast. I think we looked pretty cool, with all our costumes being red and blue, all fighting side by side against the villains. My one regret from this event is that I forgot to take screenshots... if anyone happened to take any please email 'em to me (RCchicken@hotmail.com). I'll get 'em posted up here as soon as I can!
Because of what I think of as a success of an event, I'm gonna go ahead and schedual a Siren's Call Patrol every Saturday at 8:00pm est for the next couple weeks. We may even have them more frequently then weekly; just I probably wouldn't be able to host them all. Remember, if you have an event you want to do just tell me about it, and I'll put it in the MoTD in game as well as clear you to put it under the events section on the site!
Thanks to everyone who showed their support for the JSF by coming to Siren's this evening. Let's hope more people will show up for next week's, as well as for the SG Pictures next Sunday! Now get out there and earn some more Prestige!

Event Reminder

This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
Remember in a couple hours, 8:00pm est, is our Siren's Call Patrol event. We'll be hunting down villains for about an hour, the more people the better. When you
come to the event please make sure you're in an SG flavored costume, like the ones shown in the group pic at the top of the site.
If your toon in the Justice Strike Force isn't yet level 20, just grab another of your higher level toons and join us. If none of your heroes are level 20 or higher, grab one of your villains so we'll have some healthy competition!
If enough people show up for the event tonight we'll start making this a weekly thing. Remember, anyone with the rank of Captain and higher can host an event. Just use the "Submit News" link on the left side of the home page, fill out the form, and it will send it to me for review before I post it.
I hope everyone can make it to the PvP Event tonight! And remember we got SG pictures not this Sunday but the next, and I hope more people will show up for our group SG picture this time!

SG Update
January 24, 2006; Dark Insanity
|
|
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
As you may have noticed, the base has been changed. A lot. We've put in teleportation chambers, an infirmary, and all sorts of new components have been added. But our rapid base expansion has run us into a couple problems.
The first is that we're out of power. We've maxed out how much control we can generate, as our Control Room is now full, and without power any new items we place cannot function. We could simply buy a larger Control that fits more control generating items, but that's where our second problem steps in.
We've used all the space in our base. Right now we have the smallest sized base you can get, and our current setup only allows for seven rooms, which we have. So in order to get that bigger Control Room, bigger Teleport Chamber, bigger Energy Terminal... we need to get a bigger base. This costs a lot of Prestige. So be playing in SG mode at all times, please! (unless, of course, you're higher then level 34... but even then it's still highly advised)
Our final problem involves SG missions and the Containment Alcove (aka Vault). If we place two more dimensional anchors we can do SG missions. The anchors are cheap, and we could probably afford four of them after one afternoon of fighting, so money is not our problem. It's the fact that, once you get an Item of Power (which you receive from completing SG missions) it opens up a two hour window (every day or once a week, I'm not sure) that in which anyone can enter our base and blow stuff up. And we have no defenses in place. We could fix this problem by
buying a defense corridor... but then we fall back to our other problems. No room, and not enough power.
We've done a good job, no, an excellent job, in upgrading our base over the past few weeks, and I say thank you to everyone who has helped us earn Prestige! But now, in order to upgrade even further, we're going to be needing to gain a lot of Prestige. So while we're saving up for that bigger base, there probably won't be many, if any, new items bought. So don't expect to see any base picture updates, or some snazzy new item you can use, for the next couple weeks, while we're saving up for our enlarged headquarters!
In other news, I've updated the rank requirements and initiated a new inactivity rule. Check out those under the information category on the left side of the Home page.
Thanks for everyone's support for the JSF, and I hope everyone can make
it to our upcoming events. Now get out there and earn some more
Prestige!

Well, I wouldn't quite call the SG event last night a complete success, as only 11 people showed up of our 50 something members, but it was excellent all the same! As you may have noticed *points to top of the Home page* we got our cool looking group SG picture!
Also *points to the Images bar on the right side of the Home page* we got a bunch of new member pics, for everyone to gaze in awe at. On a related note, I finally got around to posting updated base pictures, including those of our new Infirmary (aka Med Center)!
About furture events, I'm gonna do a PvP night on Saturday, in Siren's Call. For our lower level members, try to get to level 20 by next weekend! If you're not able to, just bring one of your other, higher level toons, even if you don't want to put them in the Justice Strike Force. Also, I'll be doing another SG photo shoot in two weeks, same time as yesterday's. That way we can, hopefully, get one with more
members in it, and get one with all of JSF's commanders/leaders together.
Well, thanks to everyone who showed up last night! If you have any suggestions for the PvP event, or want to make a comment on any of the SG pictures, please use the forums, or tell me in game!

First SG Event!
January 19, 2006; Dark Insanity

This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
It's about time for our first SG event! Make sure to come on over on Sunday at 7:30pm (Eastern time). We'll be taking separate pics of everyone, as well as one big group picture! This could be used for our site's banner at the top, or in the Welcome message.
Make sure to sign up for the event on the site, so I can try and estimate how many people will decide to show up. Remember, if you don't come you won't be in the SG group picture! However, if you can't make this one, there will be others, though probably not for awhile.
The event will start in Atlas Park, but we may need to change the location if the zone is too crowded. I'll get anyone who wants to come an invite and teleport them to the location of the event that evening, as we all know there will be too many non-members messing around if we try to take pictures under the Atlas memorial.
Well then, I hope everyone can make it! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or another officer of the JSF!

Well then, our cool looking Holodisplay is up. The Holodisplay generates control for the base; a type of electricity. We needed this to power more teleport beacons. So now that we got more control flowing through the base we can continue upgrading our teleport!
For our members without CoV, make sure to check out our updated base pics and base tab.
Now get out there and earn some more Prestige!

Teleport Chamber Up
January 16, 2006; Dark Insanity
|
|
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
After getting a bunch of Prestige the Justice Strike Force has its very own teleport chamber! Right now it's in the arcane style set, so we'll be saving our salvage for a more tech oriented one. Also, since the teleport room was made, we are now able to add in one more dimensional anchor, meaning we only need two more after this.
But along with a new room comes new problems. Right now we can only teleport to one zone, Striga, because we are not generating enough control to power it to other zones. Thus, we need to place our holodisplay. This costs 90k of Prestige, folks, and zone links are 10k a piece. So please play in SG mode at all times!
Also, since I have revamped the base a bit, I'll be updating the base pictures and base tab. For our members without CoV please check this stuff out so you know what your hard earned Prestige is getting used for!
Remember, if you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask in game or on the forums! Now get out there and earn some Prestige!

New Rank Requirements
January 16, 2006; Dark Insanity
|
|
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
Because of the rate that everyone is earning Prestige lately, and because of how many people are not registering on the website, I've decided to change what the requirements for each rank is. The ranks are now as follows:
- Recruit - 0+ Prestige
- Lieutenant - 7500+ Prestige
- Captain - 30000+ Prestige, Must be registered on website
- Commander - 55000+ Prestige, Must be registered on website
- Leader - Must be registered on website, When I say so
Some people may receive demotions because of the new ranking setup, whether because you haven't earned enough Prestige or because you are not registered on the website. This is meant to encourage people to register, as well as stop us from having 50 commanders walking around....
If you think the new ranking system is unfair/impossible, please fill free to express your displeasure. But remember, just because you whine doesn't mean you'll get it changed!

Unfortunate News

This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
Well, we have three of our "dimensional anchors" in place, and have enough money for the remaining three that we need, bu then I discovered something unfortunate. Currently our base can only hold three anchors. Unfortunate, indeed.
So now we need to save up Prestige for a more rooms that can hold anchors. Well, I suppose this isn't really that bad, as now we have an excuse to buy other essential base rooms, such as a base-fueled hospital, and turret armed corridors...
Well then, either way, please play in SG mode all the time! We need all the Prestige we can get!

The Vault Is Up!
January 15, 2006; Dark Insanity

|
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
After a couple weeks of saving up Prestige, we finally have the 250000 needed to buy a Vault for our SG base!
For those of you not in the loop, a vault is used for storing Items of Power. We recieve Items of Power from completing SG missions, so in order to embark on an SG mission we needed a vault to store our Item of Power in. But, unfortunately, we also need six items called "dimensional anchors," which are used to keep Items of Power in our base. These cost 5000 Prestige a piece. But at the rate we're gaining Prestige (almost 15000 a day, thanks to some of our new members!) we should be there in no time!
On a related note, since our base has been updated I will be adding/updating our base pictures and base information.
So everyone please play in SG mode so we can get our SG missions up and running! Check back here daily for more information!

You guys may have noticed the new banner at the top of the home page. I made that real quick by typing up the name in Word then editing it in Paint real fast.
It'd be greatly appreciated if someone came up with a real cool looking banner that has Justice Strike Force in it. If you come up with one you can either email me the file (I'll give you my email if you ask me in game), or put it on "www.imageshack.us" and then give me the address to it, via forums or in game. Preferably forums, as it'd be nice to get it ASAP and I usually check the site before I log on to CoH.
Remember, try not to make it too big, and wider on the sides then it is at the top (it wouldn't really be a banner if it was square).

Inactivity Rules
January 13, 2006; Dark Insanity
|
|
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
As with the growing demand for new members to be added into the Justice Strike Force, I'm initiating a new inactivity rule. From now on, anyone with less then 3000 Prestige earned and hasn't been on for 15 or more days, will get kicked from the SG. Anyone with more 3000 prestige will be kicked after being inactive for 22 or more days. Also, anyone with the rank of Commander will get kicked after inactivity of 30 days or more. Also, if someone new wants to join the SG the person with longest amount of inactivity will get kicked, as long as they're not at the rank of Commander.
To sum it up:
- Less then 3000 Prestige gets kicked after 15 days of inactivity
- More then 3000 Prestige gets kicked after 22 days of inactivity
- Commanders get kicked of 30 days of inactivity
- Leaders (or former leaders after auto-demotion) get kicked after 37 days of inactivity

Mission Computer Up

|
|
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
We got the Mission Computer up, but unfortunately before we can't start doing SG missions; we need to make room for an Item of Power that we get from completing SG missions. To do this we need to buy a vault, as well as (at least from what I have
learned) get six dimensional anchors to keep the IoP in place. This stuff costs Prestige, so play in SG mode as much as possible!
