2/3 of the Way to New Base

If you guys recall, I said a couple weeks ago we were going to be saving up the 1.6 million Prestige needed for the next size base.
Well, we hit 1.1 million in the bank! This means we only got 500k to go, guys, which we should be able to earn in only a couple weeks! Remember, with the next size base, we can get a larger control room (which means more control gets generated, which is needed to power items in the base, which in turn means more items!), bigger teleport chamber ( which means more zones we can link to!), and we can add in a defense system and a contain alcove, which will allow us to participate in SG missions, and eventually base raids!
We have a lot ahead of us, everyone, and we need all the Prestige we can get!
Also, on a side note, our new sister all defender SG, the "Aequitas Coronas," "Justice Defenders" in Latin, (or at least that's the name for now... we'll need to check with someone who knows Latin to see if it's in the correct tense first, heh). If you would like to join, please see the forums. There are two threads devoted to this topic, titled "SG in PVP" and "SG in PVP Pt. II." Please read through those, and see what the requirements are, and then talk to Justice Reaper, myself, or post on the forums before making your toon, so we can check your name and power sets.
Good work, everyone! Now get out there and earn some more Prestige!

SG Pictures Follow-Up

This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
Sorry that I couldn't show up, guys, my family dragged me into some last minute stuff, making it so I showed up 20 minutes late. Next time if I do not show, take the picture, then myself, or someone with better editing skills then me, can edit others that didn't show into it. Someone fancy work in Paint (or in some other Paint esque program) should be able to patch anyone from former pictures into a newer, updated one.
I'm not sure when the next SG pictures event will be; I may not be at home next Sunday. Remember, anyone can schedule an event, just give me the details on the forums, and I'll add it to the Events at the home page. And at a related note, you can submit news items, too, by clicking the "submit news item" link under the news box in the top left of the home page.
Also, if you showed up for this event or the Siren's Patrol last Saturday, please tell me! I'll give you your points on the site for showing up, even if I wasn't there!

Ranking and Inactivity System Upgrade

|
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
On February 19th (not this Sunday, but the next), the following ranking system will come into effect, and the following inactivity rules will come into effect immediately.
- Recruit
- Rank Requirements: None; this is the starting rank of the SG
- Inactivity: Will be kicked after 4 days of inactivity if you have earned less then 3000 Prestige, 7 days of inactivity if you have earned more then 3000.
- Lieutenant
- Rank Requirements: 7500 Prestige earned, must be part of the SG for more then 4 days
- Inactivity: Will be kicked after 7 days of inactivity if you have earned less then 15000 Prestige, 10 days of inactivity if more then 15000 Prestige
- Captain
- Rank Requirements: 30000 Prestige earned, must have been part of the SG for at least 10 days, must have registered on the JSF website, must have attended at least 1 SG event
- Inactivity: Will be kicked after 12 days of inactivity, regardless of Prestige earned
- Commander
- Rank Requirements: 60000 Prestige earned, must have been part of the SG for at least 14 days, must have registered on the SG website, must have attended at least 3 SG events
- Inactivity: Will be kicked after 14 days of inactivity, regardless of Prestige earned
- Leader
- Inactivity: Will be kicked after 25 days of inactivity; will be auto-demoted to rank of Commander after 20 days of inactivity, then given 5 days to log back in
Remember, these new rankings will not come into effect until February 19th. However, the inactivity system will be coming into effect immediately, as in as soon as I log in next time, or another Leader sees this post and logs in.
If you plan on being away from the CoH world for an extended period of time (vacation, etc.), please post something on the forums, or send me an email (in game or out), so I don't kick you from the SG in your absence.
For attending SG events, I keep track of attendance on the website. You may notice when viewing an event's details, it says a certain amount of points are awarded. 10 points counts as one full event, so in order to get to, say, Commander ranking, you must have earned at least 30 points. I have added this new rule in an attempt to bring up event attendance. Keep in mind that I may award members with exceptionally high point values, so once you clock in your three events you should still come, so you show your support for the JSF, gain more points, and have fun!
If you have any comments, or suggestions, about the new ranking and/or inactivity systems being put in to place, please feel free to post 'em on the forums, or tell me in game.

Rankings Glitch Fixed

This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
Alright! Sh0ckwave was able to catch Yamaha Warrior (being the nocturnal, or something, people they are), and Sh0ck was promoted to Leader, who was, in turn, able to promote me back to Leader.
Also, I used this to my advantage. Sh0ckwave and Yinlock, congratulations on becoming two new leaders of the Justice Strike Force! I was planning on promoting them in the future, anyway, so I may as well promote them now! So we now have three leaders, that means, everybody, three times as much thought is going into the building blocks of the JSF!
On another note, please do not place personal items in the base without first consulting a high ranking JSF officer. You may not know our current financial status, plans, or if we have enough power to even run your item. We hate deleting your items, as you don't get your salvage returned to you. Please do not place items without asking!
Otherwise, you guys are doing a very nice job! We have 800k of Prestige in the bank right now, which means we're half way to our goal of 1.6 million, and a bigger base! Keep up the good work!
Now get out there and earn some more Prestige!

Rescheduled SG Pics

Due to the fact that only four people showed up to our SG pictures
event earlier, more then likely because the Super Bowl was on at the same
time (heh... whoops), I've rescheduled the pictures to next weekend,
at the same time as today's was.
Please everybody, we want as many people as they can. We only had
eleven people show up at our last one... which is not many at all, out
of our 50 something members. We want an impressive, large, group
picture for the front of website, that we can boast about to everyone
who sees it. Which we all know we want to do!
Anyway, thanks to those who did show up. It shows your undying support of the JSF!
Also, I haven't yet been able to catch Yamaha Warrior online, so the
rankings are not quite fixed yet. Everything's gonna be fine, guys, I
just need to get Yamaha Warrior and me on at the same time...

Rankings Glitch

|

This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
Due to a glitch that came with the last patch, released on Thursday, a few of our member's rankings have been messed up. Everyone who joined to JSF in the year 2005 got demoted to the rank of Recruit, including myself. This made Yamaha Warrior become leader. He is not supposed to be leader... and I am not supposed to be a recruit...
If your rank was effected, don't worry! We should have all this straightened out within a couple of days, and then you'll just have to wait until another Officer is on at the same time as you, so they can promote you back to your normal rank.
All we can do right now is wait until Yamaha Warrior signs back in and promotes me back to Leader status so I can straighten this out... I talked to a GM, and he said there were only a few SGs hit with this glitch. Like 1/1000 or something...
Well, sorry for the inconvenience everybody. Just keep playing like
normal in the mean time, while the Officers get this mess back together.

Multiple Event Reminders

Remember fellow heroes, we have our second Siren's Call Patrol tonight. Last time, when we started at 8:00, there were only three villains in the zone, but we were
steadily able to bring the Hero's score back up by winning at the hotspots. We'll plan to do that this time, as well, no matter how many villains there are. We'll just battle 'em out at the hotspots. Also, if your hero is not quite level 20 yet, and you have a level 20 villain, head on over to CoV so we'll have some healthy competition! We have the JSF global channel in place, so you'll be able to tell us who you are.
This Sunday at 7:30est, we'll be doing a retake of our SG pictures. We'll take separate pictures of everyone, for the site "Member Pics" on the right side of the home page, then at around 7:40 we'll do a group SG picture for everyone who shows up. Hopefully we'll get more people then last time, as well as get a separate group picture for all of our Officers.
Immediately after the SG pictures Man of Elements will be hosting a costume contest for all JSF members. Remember, anyone can make an event and post it on the site, just tell me what and when it is, and a few extra details, and I'll post it up on the site, as well as put it in the SG MoTD if it's a stand alone event. Remember, if you want the best turn out for some of your events, I'd suggest scheduling directly after some other important SG event, like our SG Pictures. Also, when scheduling your event, make sure to take in to account what time zone you're in, as well as the fact we're not all in your time zone!
Try to make it to at least our SG pictures everybody! 11 people is not necessarily the most impressive group picture in the world... Also, when coming to the SG pictures, make sure to be in an SG colored costume, such as those in the group pic at the top of the website. It looks much more impressive like that!
I hope to see everyone at the our events in the next couple days! Now get out there and earn some more Prestige!
