I'm quite happy with the turn out for the SG pictures event last Sunday; all eleven people who showed up. Not the "at least 15" I wanted at first, but good enough for a nice looking SG picture, the one you may have noticed at the top of the website. I also put of the few new member personal pictures over to the right.

I'm not sure when the next pictures will be, but more then likely there will be another in the next month (if the MoTD in game still says there will be an SG pics this Sunday, ignore it! I forgot to delete it before I logged off) or so. I would be happy if all the people who showed up at the last one show up at the next one, and then about ten more people. No, wait, I wouldn't be simply happy. I would be ecstatic!

Also, I'd like to point out that recently there has been a bit of a slow down in the JSF. Quite a few of our members recently bought City of Villains, and thus have been playing over there more often. I'd prefer, of course, if everyone would play their JSF toon all the time, but, alas, some people seem to have other things to do. So, in an effort to still keep the JSF community alive, I set up a City of Villains evil twin of the Justice Strike Force, the Injustice Strike Force (iJSF)! Any time you're playing as your villain, just give a holla over the JSF global channel to see if anyone else is playing as a iJSF character, then they'll invite you in. And while on the subject of the JSF global channel, it would seem that not many people are actually adding the channel to their other toon's chat windows. Please, everyone, add this to your chat! I'm sure more people would have showed up for the SG pictures Sunday if they would have heard me, and hopefully the other leaders, carrying on about murdering you in your sleep if you don't show up!

Anywho, I hope everyone is having a good time while in the Justice Strike Force. Now get out there and earn some more prestige, so we can get the cash needed for our bigger, better, and snazzier base!

Tch, we know we're awesome.

Thanks to everyone who showed up at the Siren's Call PvP event tonight. All four of you. Counting myself. There best be a better turn out of people for tomorrow's SG pictures, people!

Base Upgraded

After a long wait, and hours of Prestige earning, we have finally achieved our goal of 1.65 million Prestige! We've upgraded our base's plot, bringing us from 8x8 squares to work with to 8x12, as well as the ability to own more of each type of item.

The first room we'll be upgrading will be our control room, which is currently 2x2 squares big and can only contain up to four auxiliary control items. Auxiliary control items produce "control" for our base, a type of power, and we are currently maxed out on control. The next sized control room, costing 750,000 Prestige, is 2x4 squares big, and can hold up to ten auxiliary control items, a substantial improvement. With the amount of control that could be generated from this upgraded control room, we would have the control needed to power many more items throughout the base.

After our control room gets upgraded, and we place a half dozen more control producing items, our power consumption may start getting toward the max. If this is the case, we should next focus on getting a better power generator. The next up power generator, producing five times as much power as our current "basic" generator, however, costs 1.5 million Prestige to place. That is a little bit of a set back, people. But remember, the only reason we would need to buy an upgraded generator was if we were reaching our max in power consumption. If this is not the case, we could go with other, minor, upgrades.

These other minor upgrades to our base could be things such as buying another teleport chamber, placing two more telepads, and being able to link to the final three hazard/trial zones; Faultline, Boomtown, and Crey's Folley. There is also a pretty nifty machine for our infirmary, called the Auto-Doc, that sells endurance and health inspirations, as well as buys your inspirations from you! That in itself would be excellent.

There is another base "improvement" that many people talk about that we should consider. The Items of Power, SG missions, base raids subject. You see, many people talk about doing base raids, but most of those people have no clue what kind of planning, work, and Prestige are needed before pulling on off. We would have to buy a vault to store the Item of Power in, buy six dimensional anchors to hold the Item of Power down, and complete an SG mission (not unlike a task force) to receive an Item of Power. Plus, you would have to place down base defenses before even thinking about getting an Item of Power, as as soon as you receive an IoP, other SGs can start attacking your base. Then, if we manage to pull all of that off, we would have to find another SG that is raid-ready and schedule a time when both SGs would have lots of players show up. Almost sounds like too much trouble for a half hour of raiding, and a one percent stat increase, eh?

Well, then it seems we have our work cut out for us, folks. But for sure the first thing we'll do is buy an upgraded control room, as without it we aren't able to place any other items, which costs 750,000 Prestige. Hopefully it will not take us very long to achieve that much.

Remember everyone, tonight at 8:00pm EST is our Siren's Call Patrol PvP event! Please be sure to be there, as the other weekend we were able to max out the hero's score! Also, this Sunday (tomorrow) we have SG pictures at 7:30pm EST. If you can only make it to one of our events this weekend, the pictures would be the one to go to. We'll be taking an updated group picture for the website, as well as separate pictures of everyone, if they wish. If at least twelve people do not show up for the SG pictures, the next pictures event will be mandatory! Keep that in mind!

Now get out there and earn some more Prestige!
