Hey guys, just wanted to let you you know, if you've got any cool screen shots or want to get pictures of your toons up on the website, e-mail them to me at the_caveman_etc@yahoo.com or to Dark at DrkInsanity@hotmail.com. Having updated pics of everyone is nice, so if you got 'em, get 'em to us. Hopefully we can schedule a new group photo session soon also.

Also, I know we've had a ton of new people coming into the group, which is sweet, and once again, we welcome you all, but not everyone is registering. Please make sure you guys register (and post your toons in the roster section when you get a chance). You won't be able to advance in rank within the SG unless you do so. It's the only real requirement we have for the JSF, so I don't think it's to much to ask.

OK, guys and gals. Good luck, good hunting and God speed!

We Gots Us a New Generator!
July 22, 2006; Dark Insanity
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.

As an unexpected part of the Double XP Weekend, all SGs got awarded 20,000 prestige per every member they had. And since we had 50 people, we got awarded 1 million prestige, for free!!

This allowed us to not only redecorate the medical center, but buy an entirely new generator room, and entirely new generator, to boot! The Turbine Generator is now ours, and it's friggin' huge! I highly suggest checking it out next time you're in the base.

And now that all of our future power needs are taken care of, our next goal is for a control producing item that costs about one million prestige, but will double our current control output on its own! That should then keep us happy for awhile, so we can save up for more items after we get that in place.

In other news, the enhancement container was moved to the medical center, on the counter to the right of the auto-doc.

Well, I hope everyone's enjoying the double experience, prestige, and influence weekend! Now just make sure you're fighting in SG mode!

On the weekend of July 21st - 23rd (next Friday through Sunday) all City of Heroes and City of Villains characters will receive double experience, influence, and prestige! This will not only allow you to level faster, but it will help you get up into a higher rank in the Justice Strike Force!

About that Fusion Generator...

This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.

I have some unfortunate news.

Turns out the Fusion Generator costs 7.5 million prestige, six million more than whatever we originally thought. In fact, I have no clue where we got 1.5 million prestige from... besides the fact that the Turbine Generator costs 1.5 million.

So, I'm going to take a vote. Should we keep saving for the fusion generator, which produces 25,000 power (more than we'll probably ever need), or just get to the turbine generator, which produces 5,000 power (still five times more than we're currently making). Keep in mind that after almost a month of saving prestige we've gotten to only about 700,000, meaning that at our current rate it's going to take another 4 - 6 months to get the fusion generator, compared to maybe half a month until the turbine.

I'm completely fine with going for the turbine, then next saving to upgrade our base's plot size (as right now we're about maxed out for new-room space), as the turbine generator will supply us with enough power for quite awhile, and by the time it's not enough, the JSF should have grown enough that 7.5 million only takes a couple months.

Tell me and the Caveman Etc what you think about the whole situation, and we'll come up with a plan for the future!

Either way, get out there and earn some more prestige!

Welcome to All New Recruits!

Just wanted to give a great big welcome to all the new recruits coming into the group over the last week or two. We appreciate each and every one of you and welcome any questions, comments or suggestions you guys might have! You can usually catch Dark on in the evening and me in the later evening (and Sh0ckwave also, once he gets back from vacation) if you need anything, or leave us an e-mail.

If anyone ever wants to schedule any type of event, let us know, and we'll try to get the word out. I myself would like to start scheduling some respec teams and Task Forces on the weekend evenings, but any kind of event can be done.

Also, don't forget that we're still working toward our goal of 1.5 Million prestige and 50 hours total SG time in PvP zones so we can get our new fusion generator for the base. It's gonna be so sweet. Mmmm, radiation! I can feel my hair falling out now!

Good Hunting!

New Rank Requirements Now in Effect
July 7, 2006; Dark Insanity
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.

You will now be promoted, or demoted, according to these new rules:

Recruit - You must now be level 6 or higher to be invited into the JSF, or have an alt that is rank Lieutenant or higher in the JSF.

Lieutenant - You must be level 16+, have been in the JSF for five or more days, have earned 20,000 prestige, and have registered on the website.

Captain - You must be level 24+, have been in the JSF for fourteen or more days, have earned 60,000 prestige, and have met all the requirements for lower ranks.

Commander - You must be level 32+, have been in the JSF for twenty-one or more days, have earned 120,000 prestige, and have met all the requirements for lower ranks.

Leader - One of the "trio of leaders" must of been killed off (possibly by a rival SG), you must have met the requirements for all former ranks long ago, and have been exceptionally outstanding in all ways of SG performance. Also, don't bother me about it. That annoys me.

So, yes, you WILL be demoted if you don't meet the new requirements. No whining allowed. Well, maybe a little bit.

JSF Global Channel Reset
July 6, 2006; Dark Insanity
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.

Last night the Justice Strike Force's global channel, 'Justice Strike Force,' was reset for no apparent reason, probably due to a glitch in the last patch. Because it was reset everyone was kicked out of it, so JSF leaders will be handing out reinvitations to the channel whenever you're on at the same time as us.

Rank Requirements, Fusion Generators, New Leaders
July 1, 2006; Dark Insanity
This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.

First off, I'd like to congratulate The Caveman Etc on taking the JSF's third leader position. After weeks of myself and Shockwave discussing who should take up our third spot, as the JSF has always had a trio of leaders, we had come to down to three candidates. The Caveman was decided after much mulling it over, and partially by the fact that he's not on vacation. So everyone put up a round of applause for your favorite brute, The Caveman Etc!

Also, on another note, I have decided to change the rank requirements for each rank. The following changes came to be after much thought, and have definitely not been finalized five minutes ago. Really.

Recruit - You must now be level 6 or higher to be invited into the JSF, or have an alt that is level 20 or higher already in the JSF. Please note that if you're already in the JSF but not level 10 yet (or don't have a level 20+ alt) you will NOT be kicked, but given one week to meet the new requirements.

Lieutenant - You must be level 16+, have been in the JSF for five or more days, have earned 20,000 prestige, and have registered on the website. If you currently do not meet these requirements and are a Lieutenant or higher, you will also be given one week to meet the new requirements before being demoted to a recruit.

Captain - You must be level 24+, have been in the JSF for fourteen or more days, have earned 60,000 prestige, and have met all the requirements for lower ranks. If you currently do meet these requirements and are a captain or higher, you will also be given one week to meet the new requirements before being demoted.

Commander - You must be level 32+, have been in the JSF for twenty-one or more days, have earned 120,000 prestige, and have met all the requirements for lower ranks. If you currently do not meet these requirements and are a commander or higher (O_o), you will also be given one week to meet the new requirements before being demoted.

Leader - One of the "trio of leaders" must of been killed off (possibly by a rival SG), you must have met the requirements for all former ranks long ago, and have been exceptionally outstanding in all ways of SG performance. Also, don't bother me about it. That annoys me.

And that concludes the new ranking requirements. Remember, you will all be given one week until demotions start being handed out, so, yes, those without 120,000 prestige WILL be demoted from their impressive rank of commander, because when 1/4 of the SG members are commanders, there's a problem.

Also, quick update on our prestige count. We have about 600,000 prestige and rising rapidly, so we're almost half way to our goal of 1.5 million prestige! Also, remember to be jumping around in PvP zones in your spare time, as long as your computer can handle it! And another quick fact: the Justice Strike Force is now in the top 85 Justice SGs (which is based on total prestige earned since creation)!

Alright, well, that about wraps up this SG update. Now get working on those new rank requirements!
