Considering that it has been well over four months since our last group picture, I decided to schedule a new one. It will be held Sunday October 8th at 7:30pm EST, in the Hollows near the Skyway City gate. If everyone who comes to the event has City of Villains, it will be held in the base, instead.
Remember, this is the picture that will be found first thing when you come to the JSF's website, so if you were planning on getting some new, supa-cool costume, do it before the eighth so everyone who visits the site can see your awesomeness!
If you absolutely cannot make the event, tell me or one of the other leaders, and if we get enough people who can't come we may reschedule it. That is unlikely, though, as I'm giving you more than two weeks of advanced notice, and we've been talking about holding one for the last two or three weeks, as well.
We'll also be taking solo pictures to put in the Member Pics column over there on the right side of the home page. You can do pretty much whatever you want in these pictures, and if you don't like the one I take of you, take your own and email it to me (DrkInsanity@hotmail.com).
Well, hope to see ya'll there!

SG Update

Alright, a lot has happened since the last time I posted an updated, so this might be a long one.
First of all, there's the base. It's gotten a complete overhaul of workshop, with a "lounge" added in the center (two sofas, two leather chairs, a table, and a huge T.V., which, unfortunately, only has the science channel). It looks great.
In the teleport/conference room, another telepad was added which has connections to both Atlas Park and Talos Island, which are good conjunction zones. If anyone has some spare time on their hands and wants to help out the SG, they can jump around Steel Canyon and collect all the exploration badges while in SG mode (or really any zone, for that matter) to unlock the teleport beacon to it. The only ones we have so far are Atlas Park, Talos Island, Galaxy City, and all the hazard zones but Eden.
The control production was also upgraded to the 1.5 million-prestige supercomputer, which we were able to purchase by selling all of our old equipment for. Our next prestige goal is going to be 1.6 million, so we can upgrade our base's plot up one size, as, once again, we've hit the max.
I've also been looking into upgrading all the rooms to their "secure" version, in which we can place base defenses and weapons. Right now the only room that can support them is the teleport/conference room, which can only be upgraded one more time to hold six telepads (rather than the four we currently have).
Also, make sure you're depositing all of your salvage into the storage container in the workshop. I've been looking into constructing an A.E.S., "Autonomous Expert System," which is currently the biggest control producing item you can create. However, this uses a LOT of salvage parts to create, is huge (we'd have to upgrade our control room to a much bigger size), and costs a lot of prestige to place. It'd probably come out to the 3 - 4 million to build after all the costs are added together, as well as require us to upgrade the plot (which is another 1.6 million), and cost all that salvage. But it's well worth it, as it produces as much prestige as we'll need for a LONG time, and it looks cool. AND we'll be one of the few SG's in the entire GAME that have one, which is pretty cool. It'll just take awhile.
If you haven't read the shout box lately, the Caveman Etc's daughter was just born on September 14th, just this last Thursday. Make sure to say congratulations if you see 'em.
Oh, and Celt Mage has come back (again), and it looks like Sh0ck's gonna be coming back pretty soon, too. Good to have you back, guys!
There's also the matter of the SG picture, which we desperately need a new one of. I'm probably going to schedule one the first or second weekend of October, so you may want to attempt to keep those Sunday evenings clear those two weekends (as SG pictures are traditionally held at 8:30pm EST on Sunday evenings).
Well, that about wraps up this update. Now get out there and earn some more prestige!
