Several Site Additions

I've made a few changes and additions to the site over the last week or so. If you haven't already seen the group pic on the roster page, go look now! It's alright, I'll wait. Are you back? Pretty sweet, isn't it, with the member's names showing up while you hover over their face and whatnot.
For those of who have already seen the roster page since I put it up, go look at it again! This morning I added in the Justice Strike Force's three previous group pictures! If you can't see the updated flash animation, you may need to refresh your browser's cache (holding shift while clicking the refresh button usually works). Now JSF veterans can reminisce on old times, and newer members can laugh at how goofy their officers' old costumes looked. By the way, I tried to add in as many names as I could on the old group pics, but I couldn't remember who everyone was... there are about three people missing names, so if any of our veteran members remember, please tell me, and I'll add them!
Oh, and while you're browsing the site you'll see avid use of our new logo (produced fully by the Green Warden!), which I must say looks quite awesome. If you see Green Warden, tell 'em what you think!
Another change to the site was the addition of member page headers. They're very stylish, come in blue, red, or gray colors, and show a variety of useful information. Just check out some member pages on the roster to see what I'm talking about. I'm also planning on making more colors to choose from so they'll better match your member pages, once I get some spare time, but for right now our SG's colors should look swell.
There was also the addition of the Events page since my last "real" news article, so check there for upcoming event dates and to view follow-up info on past events.
On another note, if you do not have your SG uniform, please make one! Though the SG uniform is only required for members ranked Captain and higher, you may want to get yours if you have reached level 20 and have an extra costume slot. Remember, if you have still need the bonus fifth costume slot from last year's Halloween event, I can hook you up with one for free, as long as you're using it for your uniform (or already have the uniform). We may also be able to spot you influence charges for the uniform if you have no free tailor sessions remaining (though Issue 10 will probably bring several free costume change tokens).
Once you do get your SG uniform made, please have Justice Reaper or myself take a look at it, so we can tell you if something is incorrect or not. Also, if you have any questions regarding creating your uniform, or if the info on the site is too confusing (though a better uniform-information section is on my site upgrade to-do list), please feel free to ask!
Regarding the JSF's base, we are once again hovering around the 1 million prestige mark, so make sure you're playing in SG mode as much as possible! Our next base upgrade will consist of a few parts; before we can make any more additions to the base, we have to upgrade our base's plot size again, which will cost about 1.4 million in itself. After that, I'm planning on adding a second workshop for more storage containers, as our current enhancement and inspirations containers are filled to the brim with items! Also, mentioning enhancements and inspirations, as you pass through the base, feel free to take some!! We've had a lot more people putting in items than taking items, so take as many as you wish. Also, MedievalManiac has been working on his crafting badges, so the enhancement containers are stuffed full of IO enhancements up for the taking!
Remember, though, only members ranked Lieutenant and higher have the ability to take items from the base storage containers. Though I wouldn't really mind if all members could take from the enhancement and inspiration containers, the game is set up so that storage permissions apply to enhancement, inspiration, and salvage storage (as in they are not separate permissions), and when this rule was relaxed in the past we had people join the SG, take as much salvage as they could hold, and quit. So now we require you to earn at least 20,000 prestige to take from our base's storage facilities. Though 20,000 prestige is not that much, I know it is kind of a nuisance, but you can blame that on those jerks out there who do stuff like that and mess it up for the rest of the honest people.
Anyway, on future events, please be sure to check the forums and help us plan events you would like to see hosted by the Justice Strike Force. Justice Reaper has been talking about doing a badge run, where we'd run around Paragon City collecting all the exploration and history badge, then hunt the rarer types of enemies for achievement badges, but he needs some times when people would have a couple of hours to do one. Please tell him in-game or use the topic created on the forums!
Well, that about wraps up this update. And, as always, if you are experiencing any issues with the site or have any questions about the topics covered today, please feel free to use the forums or ask me directly in-game or via email.

Final Telepads Placed

First off, I hope everyone had a good time over double experience weekend! Many of you gained quite a few levels; I myself hit 50 over the weekend. It was also a chance to gain a lot of influence, as well as prestige for the Justice Strike Force. We went from less than 300,000 prestige to nearly 1 million prestige over the course of two days! That's quite a bit, as normally if we earn this much within a normal week it is considered quite a fete.
Speaking of prestige, we were able to get enough to place the final piece of our teleport bay, as well as our final two telepads, allows us to transport to virtually every zone in Paragon City! The final zones to be placed were 'Eden,' the Rikti Crash Site, and Terra Volta. Because we still have one beacon spot open in the new telepad room, we can reserve that space for Issue 10's new Rikti War Zone zone, assuming we will be able to link beacons there.
Our next base upgrade will probably consist of another base plot upgrade, because, as you can see from the base overview, our current plot size is pretty much maxed out in room space. Alternatively, we can save up for a larger control room and place the huge A.E.S. control item, but we would have to remove (or shrink) the Pride Room, as well as save up a lot of prestige.
Well, I hope everyone can make use of our expansive telepad system. And remember, we have SG pictures tomorrow at 9:00pm EST! Though it is not required you be in an SG uniform, it is being highly pushed, as it makes the SG look cooler. And they don't look too bad, if I do say so myself. If you still need to get an SG uniform, please see this page. If you are out of costume slots and would be interested in the bonus fifth costume slot from last year's Halloween event, contact me, and I'll try to hook you up before Wednesday night.
We are also planning on running some TF's soon, to get more pics of the JSF "in action," and so the JSF can actually be in action! Please use the forums to request a task force you'd like to run, as well as any times you'll be available to do it in the next couple of weeks.
Hope to see everyone at the supergroup pictures tomorrow!

The Justice Strike Force: Reloaded
June 10, 2007; Dark Insanity

This news article was retrieved from a former Justice Strike Force website; as such, it may not contain active links or current, applicable information.
You may have noticed some changes made to the Justice Strike Force lately, such as the complete overhaul of our base design, the addition of supergroup uniforms, or the brand new website!
The new base is quite different from our old base, with an upgraded plot size, larger control room and power station, an extra telepad bay or two, and and complete remodeling of every room in the base, from workshop to infirmary. It's so new it's still got that new base smell. None of that could have been possible without everyone's hard work earning prestige for the Justice Strike Force! Our future plans for base improvement include buying another telepad bay to extend off from the current telepad bays, which will contain two more telepads to link to four more zones, completing our telepad network of Paragon City. After that, we may save up for another base plot upgrade, so we can add more rooms to the base. So make sure you're playing in SG mode, so we can earn more prestige! Also make sure you're dropping off your base salvage in the workshop's salvage bins, as many higher quality items require large amounts of salvage to produce.
p next on the JSF's list of changes is the announcement of new SG uniforms! The Justice Strike Force's uniform is different than most other SG's, because we only require a few costume parts to be the same; only a few "uniform" pieces. These include a uniform belt, cape, and shoulder mounts. Everything else on your character's costume can be any costume part or design you wish, and simply must be one of the five colors used in the uniform style you pick. There are two uniform styles to choose from, the only differences of which are color pallet used; there is the blue-themed "Liberty" uniform, and the red-themed "Vengeance" uniform.
You are not required to have an SG uniform until you are the rank of Captain, but you may wish to get one for wearing during SG events, including SG group pictures. If you haven't already checked out the page from the plethora of links in the last paragraph, you can view information of the SG uniform here.
The Justice Strike Force is also proud to announce its new website, at www.thejsf.com. This gives us an easily remember domain name, as well as JSF-owned forums and wiki (which you can easily access by going to forum.thejsf.com or wiki.thejsf.com). Please note that while the new forum and wiki are both owned by us now, they still require separate accounts. Once you do create an account on the wiki, you'll be able to create a member page for each of your Justice Strike Force characters, which can contain up to four images, and unlimited space for character descriptions, background information, or whatever else you wish.
You can view our Getting Started guide for information on creating an account, making your member page(s), and getting into your SG uniform!
Regarding SG events, we are planning on having a new JSF group picture soon; possibly next weekend, but we don't want to interfere with your double experience/influence/prestige goodness, so it may be postponed another weekend or two. Everyone rank Captain or higher will be required to come to the group picture in an SG uniform, so you may want to create yours soon! Everyone else is not required to be in SG uniform, but you do have to admit it does look pretty cool. During the group picture the SG colors will be temporarily changed to black and white (or possible black and blue or black and red or something along those lines), so everyone not in an SG uniform will simply switch into an SG mode costume.
Once again, thanks for everyone's support in improving the Justice Strike Force, and our SG's upgrades will only help improve our sense of JSF pride!
